Global 8000 charter: rates, specs and range from Dubai
The Global 8000 is Bombardier's flagship, certified by the FAA in December 2025 and flying with owners since the same month. It carries a theoretical 8,000 nm range, a Mach 0.95 top speed and 4 living zones inside a cabin 54 ft 5 in long. From Dubai that reaches New York, Sydney and Sao Paulo without stopping, with Los Angeles sitting inside a wind-dependent margin.

What the Global 8000 is for
The Global 8000 sits at the top of the ultra-long-range class, where the job is moving a full cabin across the planet without a fuel stop. Bombardier publishes a theoretical range of 8,000 nm, measured at Mach 0.85 with 8 passengers, 4 crew and NBAA IFR reserves.
That word theoretical is load-bearing. Bombardier's own footnote says actual range is affected by speed, weather and selected options, so 8,000 nm is a modelled still-air number rather than a distance the aircraft covers on any given routing.
It is not a new type. The airframe is a BD-700-2A12, the same type certificate as the Global 7500, and Global 8000 is a marketing designation for serial number 70006 and later, fitted with GE Passport 20-19BB1B engines and a defined set of modifications. Transport Canada certified it on 5 November 2025, the FAA on 19 December 2025, and the first aircraft entered service that same month.
The reason to pay for it over a slower ultra-long-range jet is speed. Cruise settings run from Mach 0.85 for range, through Mach 0.90, to a Mach 0.92 ultra-high-speed cruise, with a Mach 0.95 maximum. The fast settings and the 8,000 nm figure do not come together, because the range number is quoted at the slowest of them.
Global 8000 charter cost from Dubai
There is no rate card for this type. It entered service in December 2025 and the early airframes are largely in private and fractional hands rather than open retail charter, so what you get is a quote for your dates.
Broad banding for the type in 2026 sits at roughly $14,000 to $18,000 per flight hour before fuel surcharges, taxes, crew and handling. Ultra-long-range hours out of Dubai sit at the top of the regional market, and where in that band a trip lands depends more on availability than on routing: with a fleet this young, the aircraft often has to be positioned into Dubai first, and that leg is billed.
| Trip from Dubai | Distance | Approximate flight time | Hourly band | Indicative all-in |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| London | 2,970 nm | 6.5–7 hours | $14,000–$18,000 | $91,000–$126,000 |
| Singapore | 3,156 nm | 7–7.5 hours | $14,000–$18,000 | $98,000–$135,000 |
| New York | 5,941 nm | 12.5–13.5 hours | $14,000–$18,000 | $175,000–$243,000 |
A return with the aircraft waiting on the ground prices differently from two separate one-ways, and the answer changes with how many days it sits. Ask for both on the same enquiry, because which of the UAE charter companies is sourcing the airframe often matters more to the total than the trip itself.
Range from Dubai
Read the distances below against a theoretical 8,000 nm at Mach 0.85 with 8 passengers and 4 crew, not against a guaranteed maximum. A still-air figure makes no allowance for headwinds, ATC routing or a heavier cabin, and all three eat into it.
Europe, southern Africa, east Asia, Australia and the east coasts of both American continents all fall inside the number with room to spare. Bombardier claims access to more than 2,000 destinations, helped by a takeoff distance of 5,760 ft at maximum weight and a landing distance of 2,220 ft.
The leg that needs planning rather than assuming is Dubai to Los Angeles, at 7,235 nm, or 90.4% of the theoretical range. Westbound that routing runs against the prevailing mid-latitude westerlies for much of its length. It is achievable on the right day with the right load, and it is not something to promise a full cabin months in advance.

Great-circle distances from Dubai. Book range assumes still air and a light cabin, so headwinds, passenger load and payload move the marginal legs either way on the day.
Inside the cabin
The cabin measures 54 ft 5 in from the cockpit divider to the aft-most cabin, 8 ft 0 in across at its widest and 6 ft 2 in floor to ceiling, for a volume of 2,637 cu ft. The height is what lets an adult stand upright for the whole of a 13-hour sector.
Bombardier divides it into 4 living zones, named Club, Conference, Entertainment and Principal, with a galley carrying multiple ovens and a separate crew rest area behind the cockpit. The manufacturer calls it the only true four-zone business jet at this range.
The Principal suite and the aft lavatory
The Principal suite is one of the 4 zones rather than an option bolted on to them. Bombardier lists it with a Nuage seat, a full-size bed, a large wardrobe, a 32-inch display and 6 ultra-large windows. Berthable divans elsewhere depend on how the completion centre finished that airframe, so no single bed count holds fleet-wide.
There are 2 lavatories: a furnished one off the entrance with a window, vanity, sink and faucet, and a private one in the en-suite at the back. The stand-up shower belongs to that aft lavatory and Bombardier describes it as available rather than standard, so specify it at quote stage.
Cabin altitude is 2,691 ft cruising at 41,000 ft, which Bombardier states is the lowest of any business aircraft in production. The 195 cu ft baggage hold is reachable in flight from the rear of the cabin.
How it compares
The nearest comparison is not a rival airframe but its own sibling, the Global 7500. The two share a type certificate, a fuselage, a wing and a T-tail, and there is no reliable way to tell them apart from the outside. What separates them is an engine variant and a modification set.
| Point of difference | Global 8000 | Global 7500 |
|---|---|---|
| Type designation | BD-700-2A12 | BD-700-2A12 |
| Engines | GE Passport 20-19BB1B | GE Passport 20-19BB1A |
| Maximum operating Mach | 0.95 | 0.925 |
| Landing distance | 2,220 ft | 2,237 ft |
| Serial numbers covered | 70006 and later | 70005 and later |
Against the Gulfstream G700, both aircraft hang 2 engines off the rear fuselage, so the tail is the tell: the Global carries its horizontal stabiliser at the very top of the fin in a clean T, while the Gulfstream sets a swept cruciform tailplane lower down.
The Falcon 8X is easier still to pick out, because it is a trijet with a third engine fed through an S-duct in the tail. The Global 8000 has exactly 2 engines and no centre inlet.
At 111 ft long with a 104 ft wingspan and a 27 ft tail, it is closer in size to a small regional airliner than to a typical business jet, so check hangar and stand availability at smaller fields.
Who should charter it, and who should not
Ideal for
- Dubai to the US west coast. Los Angeles at 7,235 nm is the longest leg on this page, and this aircraft gets closest to flying it in one go.
- A group of 10 to 12 who need to work and sleep on the same flight. With 4 living zones and a full-size bed in the Principal suite, nobody has to give up their seat for someone else to lie down.
- Sectors long enough for cabin altitude to matter. 2,691 ft at a cruise of 41,000 ft is the lowest cabin altitude Bombardier has put into production.
- Trips where an hour of schedule is worth real money. Mach 0.92 ultra-high-speed cruise is there to be used when the sector is short enough to trade range for time.
Wrong choice for
- Anyone who needs an aircraft this week. The type entered service in December 2025 and is not yet established in the UAE fleet, so a Global 8000 out of Dubai usually means positioning one in.
- Regional hops. Doha at 204 nm and Muscat at 188 nm use none of what this aircraft is built for, and the ultra-long-range hourly rate applies anyway.
- A 19-seat shuttle. 19 is the certified maximum, not a charter layout. A four-zone completion with a Principal suite spends that cabin on beds and a conference table, and seats 12.
- Budgets built from a published hourly figure. Nothing on this type is rate-carded in 2026, so the quote is the only number that means anything.
Global 8000 charter questions
How far can a Global 8000 fly nonstop?
Bombardier publishes a theoretical range of 8,000 nm, or 14,816 km, measured at Mach 0.85 with 8 passengers, 4 crew and NBAA IFR reserves. The manufacturer's own footnote says actual range is affected by speed, weather, selected options and other factors, so it is a still-air modelling figure rather than a guaranteed maximum. From Dubai it covers Europe, east Asia, Australia, southern Africa and the east coasts of both American continents without a stop.
How much does it cost to charter a Global 8000 from Dubai?
Broad banding sits at roughly $14,000 to $18,000 per flight hour in 2026, before fuel surcharges, taxes, crew and handling. There is no rate card for the type, because it entered service in December 2025 and the early aircraft are mostly in private and fractional hands. A one-way Dubai to London trip works out around $91,000 to $126,000 on those assumptions, with any positioning leg on top.
How fast is the Global 8000?
Top speed is Mach 0.95, which Bombardier describes as the fastest civil aircraft since Concorde. Below that it has an ultra-high-speed cruise of Mach 0.92, a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90 and a long-range cruise of Mach 0.85. The 8,000 nm range figure is quoted at Mach 0.85, so the faster settings and the full range are not available on the same flight.
How many passengers does a Global 8000 seat?
Maximum certified capacity is 19 passengers, but a typical charter layout seats 12. The four-zone interior with a Principal suite spends cabin space on a full-size bed, a conference area and an entertainment zone rather than on extra seats. Bombardier itself quotes the aircraft's range at 8 passengers and 4 crew.
What is the difference between the Global 8000 and the Global 7500?
They share the same type certificate, BD-700-2A12, along with the same fuselage, wing and tail, and cannot be told apart from the outside. The Global 8000 is a marketing designation for serial number 70006 and later, fitted with GE Passport 20-19BB1B engines and a specific set of modifications. The practical differences are a maximum operating Mach of 0.95 against 0.925, and a landing distance of 2,220 ft against 2,237 ft.
Can a Global 8000 fly nonstop from Dubai to Los Angeles?
On the right day, with the right load. Dubai to Los Angeles is 7,235 nm great-circle, which is 90.4% of the theoretical 8,000 nm range, and the westbound routing runs against the prevailing mid-latitude westerlies for much of its length. Treat it as wind and payload dependent rather than as a guaranteed nonstop, and expect the operator to confirm it closer to the date.
